History of the Practice

Otolaryngology is the area of medicine that deals with the diagnosis and treatment of diseases and disorders affecting the head and neck region.

Dr. Gail Anderson founded Chesapeake Otolaryngology Associates LLC in 2001, opening her first office in Bowie, Maryland. She opened her second office in 2004 in Southern Maryland to serve both the Calvert and Prince George’s counties and communities.

In December 2017, Chesapeake Otolaryngology Associates was one of the founding physician offices for The Centers for Advanced ENT Care (www.cadentcare.com), the Mid-Atlantic’s premier provider of comprehensive ear, nose and throat services. CAdENT offers patients the highest standard of professional medical care with state-of-the-art equipment at over 30 convenient and readily-accessible practice locations. With more than 60 physicians, our providers deliver expert treatment in all areas of ear, nose and throat care.

We welcomed Dr. Katherine Perry, MD to our staff in August 2015.

We are excited to announce the addition of Dr. Manan Shah, MD, to the practice in September 2018! He will be seeing patients in both office locations.
